I've almost done this set design. This REALLY IS nothing special. There are supposed to be desks and people walking about in the background but I cant do that. I need some high quality pictures of the whole set.

Anyway, the set I'm making is rendering as I ramble. I'll import it into Photoshop and make it look a bit more real, some lens flares from the lights maybe, and some blurring going on.

Have also e-mailed Sky, not sure if I had the right addy but I done it anyway! Just wait for a reply now, if I get one at all. I'll explain a bit more about this set when it's all 'built' and you can see it.

On a different subject, I met the/a producer of GMTV quite a few months ago now, and he liked my designs. There is a lack of GMTV designs on here so maybe I should post some of mine up. I notice GMTV have another new look, similar, they like the 'sparkly' effect seems like it. I dont think I like the today titles though, but then I was half asleep at the time - I got up extra early to see the new design... never again!

More of the same really, but instead of cutting to each 'scene', these would fade. As for the text, it would 'motion blur' in and fade out, the next set of text would do the same just as the last lot fades out. A lot like that white ident they had for only a short period of time, I'm sure you know the one I mean.

Also, has anyone managed to capture some music from Sky News Active? I wouldn't mind having a go at a little mixing

This set changes its light colour with each programme. For Sunrise: Amber. News at Ten: Purple. On The Hour: Blue and Red maybe. Don't be too hard on this one, it's only my first attempt!

The text may look small but that's because the whole image is small. The text would look just right on screen.

The little red part in the lower left corner which is currently displaying 'BREAKING NEWS' would also display 'TOP STORIES', 'LIVE', and 'PICTURES FROM...' at the appropriate times.

Again, comments are most welcome. Next I'm going to work on a little flash animation to show how the bars would work at the bottom
