Real Time pulls in more than Last Week Tonight?
Last Week Tonight should really be doing much better than scraping a million - even more so, when it's got the early switcher overs waiting for GoT for the last few weeks.

Last Week Tonight should really be doing much better than scraping a million - even more so, when it's got the early switcher overs waiting for GoT for the last few weeks.
Well, John Oliver does have a much larger online presence than Real Time which might balance it out. Last Week Tonight has over 6.9 million YouTube subscribers, whereas Real Time has just over 1.6 million YouTube subscribers.
With regards to why a daily late night chat show wouldn't work in the UK compared to the USA I'm guessing some have already forgotten ITV's The Nightly Show from two years ago. Admittedly that attempt suffered from a lack of consistency, in terms of rotating hosts and features/elements which came with each host.
Going back to the topic of Bradley Walsh's new show I've not yet had chance to watch it to be able to really comment on it. It sounds like the format needs some rethinking if it comes back as a full series to flow well and showcase Bradley's many talents.
