Why must every news story always have a misleading headline these days, even in The Guardian!

Everything seems to be about clickbait nowadays, in order to get more page views, and therefore higher advertising revenues, which now seems to be affecting all media outlets, and not just the tabloids.

Even BBC News is full of awful clickbait now, and they don't even need to make money.

The Guardian story isn't a news article though, it's a column from the woeful Stuart Heritage. I suspect he knows damn well it isn't an ITV park and that they're just licencing out some of their Kids TV brands.
He ignores the facts so he can make his usual repetitive jokes about Midsomer Murders etc.

Not entirely new, Granada did own The American Adventure back in the 90s! Though the only TV related thing I remember them ever having was the "Iron Wolf" rollercoaster (Gladiators themed). Lost the name and theming once Granada sold the park on.

There was also a Krypton Factor assault course and a Sooty show.

I can't actually remember those for some reason! And we used to go regularly.

Granada owned Camelot for a while and it had Sooty, went down hill to be fair once Granada sold it.

Same as the American Adventure, once Granada sold it the new owners barely seemed interested. The last couple of years it was open are barely worth talking about because they decided to take out the major rides and turn it into a "family park", and it died a death.

Bit here about the American Adventure if no one has seen it

and Camelot here...

This sort of thing scares the hell out of me for some reason - very creepy. Confused

Use to go to Camelot with School must have been in 97 and 98, then when we were older we won some tickets to go probably around 2009 or something, it was a far cry to what it use to be.

The American Adventure one is very upsetting considering how often I used to go as a kid and how many good times I had there.

On a similar theme notice ads now for Ninja Warrior centres (one in Wigan I think, another in South Wales), presumably licenced via ITV or the production company.

As for an ITV theme park - I think they could build the best theme park with the best rides in the world, but theming it around ITV shows would kill it at birth.

It's in Stoke and Wigan.

Both have been open since late last year.
