Great visual representation of what's happen to BBC Olympic coverage since 2012 right there!
The five Olympic rings and the BBC in pieces on the floor. All that was needed was a Eurosport branded dustpan and brush at the edge of the picture, and it would be complete.
Interesting brand clash on SSN right now, with an interviewee holding a mic with an NBC Golf cube on it and the interviewer using a Sky Sports branded mic. Never seen that kind of thing before.
I forgot to mention my 4k tv is an early adopter SDR 4k tv it dosent do UHD HDR/HLG I am worried that when this becomes standard on my tv the 4k is going to look dull, in Italy they have 4K HDR already but looks like they have two 4k modes on their Sky Q.
Does it support Rec 2020 or just Rec 709/BT.1886 and Rec.601 gamut sources?
I'm not sure what gamut Sky are using to broadcast UHD content, but the Sky Q software and hardware definitely supports Rec 2020 when set to 10 bit output. My box is currently outputting Rec 2020 to my Samsung UHD TV.
I believe the HDR content on the Italian Sky Q service is Rec 2020 10 bit HLG. As said at the moment they're providing on demand UHD content in both SDR and HDR versions, which I imagine is why there's been a delay on launching it in the UK as Sky would want to simplify this to a single UHD download/broadcast.

It's been said over on DS by an insider that Sky Sports and NBC sports staff have been encouraged to collaborate and work together as much as possible by the new management. Clearly this kind of thing is an onscreen indication of that.

I feel like I ought to have one of those mugs, but the only freebie the BBC handed out to staff in 2012 was one gold pin badge. (They were going for a fair whack on eBay, mind.)
Was that one of those sold on the BBC Shop supposedly for 'staff only' but which anyone could buy? Because I definitely did not buy one of them and it definitely is not on one of my shelves.
I think we all have one (except Stuart).
.... any more. However, if anyone has a stash . . .
Hearing that we will get an official steer as to how the four all fixture packs for the Premier League from next season will work imminently. KO times (and days for the MW packs) for the matches are likely to be announced so BT can allocate resources for their own and the packs they will handle for Amazon going forwards.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but why?
I'd have thought, in the case of the 10 Boxing Day games, you can't plan if you don't know the fixtures.
Local Derbies and nearby fixtures in the same town/City in the EFL have to be concidered.
Or will it simply be a case of saying there will be 1 game at lunchtime, 1 at 2pm, 5 at 3 pm, and 2 kicking off at 5.30 and 7.45 respectively.
