If they updated the logo to be multi-coloured it would be a nice refresh for it. As long as the DOG remained with the outline logo so it doesn't become too noticible on screen, currently it's very light and can be easily ignored. A 'filled in' version would not have the same effect.

Until they decide to go from 5 colours to 3....

I’m sure that a user mocked up that colour logo on here back when the current logo launched.

Correct, in that exact order of colour. The mock shows up when you do a Google Image search for "Channel 5 Logo".

Possibly another instance of TV Forum inadvertently infiltrating the ranks of TV presentation.

It looks like Teleshopping (which has been on since Super Casino ended) was only temporary, as a new casino show is starting on 16th April:

Date: Tuesday 16th April 2019 (starting in 9 days)
Time: 01:00 to 03:10 (2 hours and 10 minutes long)

Maybe it's time Channel 5 picked up Shortland Street to fill the void. Should be a good cheap import and should also rate better than its last UK outing.

Is the UK really ready for the likes of this? 😲

I'm pretty sure that will be edited.

To be fair, we’re not exactly limited to just five channels anymore. There are literally hundreds of other channels available now, not to mention the likes of Amazon and Netflix, where you can watch what you want when you want.

Yes, those casino programmes are, in my view, absolutely dire, and I personally don’t agree with them being shown, but if you look at it from Channel 5’s point of view, it is a cheap and easy way to fill schedule space at a time of night when very few people will be watching. In fact, I’d be surprised if Channel 5 paid to air those things at all - I’d expect the gambling services would do pretty well out of their TV slots.

True. And to be honest, a dire casino show would fit in with most of their other shows (I don’t mind Friends).

Channel 5 won't be paying anything for it. They will actually get paid to show it.

It's a commercial presentation, just like teleshopping, so the casino operator will be paying Channel 5 for the airtime.
