There's no way it can be April 2nd 2000, as it still has the Diamond Cable logo on it, and they became NTL around June 1999. As well as that recording being on a VHS tape of other stuff taped in the spring of 1999.
And, yes, I think I posted it in the wrong thread, D'oh.
I just checked Genome (because I was curious as to what 'Personal Passions' on BBC Two was), and found it wasn't on that day - but was on April 2 2000.)

(Also, did you mean to post this in the kids' TV thread?)
Looking on Genome, it's part of the OU strand:
8.00 Personal Passions:
Desmond Morris - the broadcaster talks about his interest in surrealist painting.
On this video I recorder back in 1999, you can see a small amount of it at around 6:50 (shown as part of the cable channel guide)

The date on it says it's a Sunday, though doesn't say what month, though the only Sunday 2nd in 1999 was May, so it must be from that day.

Seems like use of the special Adult Swim stings has been largely dropped already on E4. They were in full use weeks 1 and 2, I couldn't tell you about last week due to some reception issues, and then by week 4 last night they've mostly been replaced as they now have a sponsor for the whole thing instead. A single one of the stings was still used before the first show in the strand, but before the rest a Peperami sponsor sting has now taken its place.
I suppose if they've managed to get a sponsor it at least means there's more chance of this lasting longer term. Although it would really still benefit with being a bit more consistently placed in the schedule.

This has gone right past many many people.
Also 8 out of 10 Cats is coming back for a new series but this time on E4 where it should have been in the first place, while the new show Dead Pixels is what 10 years to late and looks like Warcraft.
The first new 2019 ident for E4, spotted before Baewatch's 10pm junction last night. This time its a battlefield of action figures filmed as a frozen moment in time. Something which could have worked well as an Adult Swim ident for them really!

It moved to E4 last series - albeit two years ago, but the series prior to that had been on More4.

Really? I thought Channel 4 Fridays was perfect for Cats (though admittedly the Countdown version is better).
I still enjoy 8 Out of 10 Cats with Rob and Aisling, but they’re nowhere near as good as Sean or Jon were.
