The main Crossroads hotel set took over Studio 8, then they also used Studio 6, and converted what was the music studio plus some of the props store to create a Studio 11 and provide some more space for the smaller sets (i.e. hotel rooms). Both that and Studio 7 are still available to hire as empty studios (albeit without gallery facilities etc.).
They also built the 'hotel corridor' inside a real studio corridor, I seem to remember the double doors leading into the hotel corridor being visible when I looked down towards 6&8 from the entrance to Studio 7.
Apologies if it's been posted previously, but there's a video from a few years ago by an
Auf Wiedersehen Pet
fan who pretty much went around the whole complex with two former studio employees. Two hours long but it's great viewing for the geeks. Still some remnants from the various shows around the place, including a prop sign from Boon and one of the fake stone god reliefs from Blockbusters above the staircase. He does eventually get into Studio 8 towards the end, which is indeed their manuscript archive.
You may notice from his dashcam footage that we
have roadsigns for the studios 15 years after they closed...
