Didn't the BBC already do a kind of Gogglebox for news a couple of years ago?


They tried it on BBC NI - except they were reacting to the radio.

It's very dull listening to someone's opinion on the news. Unless it's about Theresa May's shoes or her dancing.


As someone on the other thread on here said, it's the sort of programme you'd have expected back in 2007, when YouTube was new and user-generated-content was all the rage amongst deluded TV execs.

I was thinking of 2017 classic "Common Sense".

They're getting plenty of clickbait out of it - half of their most read stories are BBC Scotland related.
