I was thinking the same. As much as I’d like to see it, not sure ITV would pick it up for a 10:45 slot. But I could see a Channel 4 version emerging - perhaps Sunday night?

It's quite unreasonable of the BBC to decline Andrew's request of filming the show earlier. For a nearly 70 year old man to be hosting a show well past midnight live, I think it's justified that Andrew would want to tape it earlier.
There'd be nothing stopping them recording the show earlier that evening, just like Question Time does. There's no element of the show that would require it to be live, other than when it is broadcasting a by-election result.
I guess the BBC saw this as the perfect opportunity to shelve the show completely. It's not surprising the decision has received the backlash that it has.
