A special one off midnight bulletin from the newly named HaHadashot 13 , presented by Jacob Eilon, on the day Reshet 13 was relaunched and Arutz Eser was shut down. It was preceded by an hour-long pre-merger special.

By the way, the device that the staffs used to stop Arutz Eser is called Abekas AirCleaner from Ross Video.

There's an unstable recording of the moment above, but it shows what happened on Arutz Eser during the changeover at the end of the clip.

An unstable recording of the entire pre-merger special, including commercial breaks and some lottery thing.

If you are fluent in Hebrew, you may find the entire special and the subsequent bulletin at the following pages:

Incidentally (?), on that day, Kan 11 aired a report about a certain owner of the former Arutz Eser:

Apparently, SIC in Portugal changed its logo on 6 October this year. Here's how the changeover happened on SIC Internacional (with Primeiro Jornal ):

... and their report on the new look SIC:

The new SIC logo is horrible. It's worse than their previous ones. They say things get better as time goes by, but the SIC logo has gotten gaudier over the years.

Then you should blame Hans Donner who created the original logo. The new one is apparently an in-house job, and it appears they wanted to make "SIC" part of the logo more legible in the digital age.

SIC managed to get out of the shadows of the 80s much earlier than Rede Globo in Brazil in terms of on-screen design, but for the logo, I think they don't want to immediately drop the most recognised logo.

On December 9th, 2018, as part of the celebrations of its 45th anniversary, Globo's Sunday morning sports magazine show, Esporte Espetacular , revamped its on-air look, moved from the network's headquarters at Jardim Botânico, in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro, into the building that houses sister network SporTV, at Barra da Tijuca, in the western part of the city (as well as the entire Globo sports department, which, together with SporTV, became one unified operation), albeit with a nearly-identical set, and a new version of "Hyde Park", which has served as the show's theme (either on a primary or secondary basis) for the show's nearly entire history.

The entire episode from that day, which started with an interview with Keith Mansfield, the composer of "Hyde Park": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFfKTNNm_rU

And an excerpt of the new version of "Hyde Park" for the show:

Also, just for fun, the theme for Record TV's counterpart, Esporte Fantástico , which premiered in 2009 (as part of the network's attempt to lead the Brazilian ratings by mimicking many aspects of Globo's programming - and it kind of worked for some time) with a theme that's very reminiscent of "Hyde Park".

The making-of feature about the new title sequence:

By the way, that's some feature film length Esporte Espetacular has got per episode. I saw Vesti Nedeli on Rossiya 1 lasts for two hours each week. Is there any other weekly magazine show that rivals feature film in length?

As an addition to the changes in Israeli commercial television this past Wednesday, here's a collection of promos from both companies informing the change.

Oh yeah, it does.
Except they modernised it and kept the 3 in its signature red box.

Last Monday, FOX in Latin America became "Fox Channel". I don't know if it's part of a global rebrand (like the last one for FOX International).
But maybe, but just maybe, it has something to do with Disney's purchase of 21st Century Fox assets (including the international channels, but not including the US FOX network).

FX has also rebranded:

Are any other 'Fox' channels outside the United States changing their name to 'Fox Channel' too?

Nope, even if the new look is being rolled out in other European countries this month, like Spain and Italy
