That was the HD switch wasn't it?

I remember the switch from Esholt to Harewood being a bit jarring - I think they didn't have any outdoor scenes for a while to cover it but suddenly the village looked a lot more lighter and brighter as the stonework they used was different to the type in Esholt.

They didn't go HD until several months afer the move back to Kirkstall Road.

Today's episodes haven't made it to the ITV Hub either, clearly hit the same rights issues wall that Classic Corrie did.

Did the Tates move the front room of Home Farm after the siege? I notice they're walking through the front door and turning right... in later episodes they turn left.

Whereas now you don't turn left or right, it's just one big open space.

That's another building that's blown up and caught fire too many times to mention. Also changed its exterior appearance to change back again a few years later.

That's what I mean. Pre siege the desk and window is to the left of the cameras but later in the 90s it's to the right.

They did make a change may be around the time Frank Tate was killed off but I could be wrong. May have been around 1996.

When the Kings bought the Farm and did it up after the 2005 fire; the original room with window on the left made a return.

For some reason they bought back the original theme tune for a few months after the plane crash, though only over the credits. They still kept the new theme over the titles.

There's a common misconception that the show became Emmerdale after the plane crash, when in reality the name change preceded the crash by four years. Beckindale became Emmerdale after the plane crash, via an Acorn Antiques "all the villagers have decided we're going to rename the village in memory of Emmerdale Farm" type dialogue.

I think we predicted that one. Guess they'll get to the plane crash around the end of the year.

Has anybody worked out the timescale for when each new year will begin? I would have thought every ten weeks or so.

Also was it 1992 when they started to change the closing credit names? Meaning in order of appearance rather than length of service or seniority.

It is good to see Annie credited first but I know at some stage that sadly changes.

That's what I always assumed. Interesting.
