When I was there, DMAX, pretty much was 'forgotten' and just there to fill the portfolio. Glad they've reinvested into the channel to become on par to its European variants.

The website’s just been taken down.
It’s not going to be long before TruTV kicks the bucket, as Sony has been narrowing down on what channels it considers to be important to its portfolio; namely Sony Crime/Movies, the Pop channels and the True channels.
It’s an unmitigated failure in many ways: the lack of original content, and a short term strategy with its freeview slot that never worked out with Turner. Then Sony bought it and nothing else changed.

CSC Media Group Limited has now been liquidated, following the sale of Chart Show TV, Chart Show Hits, The Vault and Starz TV by Sony to Trace.
The insolvency process started on 17th December 2018, just 4 days after the sale.

The legacy of CSC Media Group lives on, for now, through Chart Show TV, Chart Show Hits and The Vault, but for how long? It really will be the end of an era if Chart Show TV gets rebranded.
When Trace acquired the channels, they issued a statement saying "We are looking forward to bringing the Trace brand, touch and expertise to these four UK music channels as well as synergies with the rest of the Trace ecosystem", so seems like only a matter of time until they start rebranding them.

Who owns the old episodes of The Chart Show now? Did Sony keep them, or did Trace get them with the music channels?
KE
The sale included "associated brand assets", so I'm assuming they're now owned by Trace, along with the rest of the programme library, but think it's unlikely that they'll ever see the light of day again. Can't see any reason why Sony would want to keep the Chart Show archive, as it wouldn't be much use to them, and it hasn't even been broadcast recently. The original series has been shown on the Vault in the past, but that was a number of years ago.

Don't forget that the Pop kids channels which Sony retained were also originally part of CSC.

And in the process lost some of its charm.

The last change was actually on Tuesday, but it sounds like your TV was behind at least two months worth of changes. Freesports has been 64 for a while... since mid-November. https://twitter.com/ukdtt/status/1062049904300822531
The Freesports move was actually a bit of a weird one. They pulled the same trick that CBS did in 2017, and bought ownership of The Store (despite ITV continuing to operate the channel). This is what gave them LCN 64.
I would agree with you though - it was a strunge move to make, given their proximity to BBC1 HD.
Yet another retune and reshuffle today due to channels lower in the EPG, with a few jumping up the EPG, notable Freesports which jumps to 64. Actually makes that harder to find IMO - I think being in the late 90s near the HD channels isn't a bad thing.
