Not always, in Portugal the Champions League is on newly launched Eleven Sports but the Europa League is on established broadcaster Sport TV.

While I can understand BeIN being annoyed about piracy, actively sabotaging your own product's quality to make life harder for the Saudis is just crazy.

If I were a paying subscriber with BeIN I'd be pretty annoyed.

Surely a simple animated logo near the scorebar would be enough if they have to do this.

If it's a fixed point on the screen then it would be easy to mask. Anyone who's seen 3pm kickoffs on dodgy streams in UK pubs will attest to the innovative ways that pirates go to mask their stream sources.

Well, they could move the scorebar itself (with the logo attached) if contracts allow to another place on screen everytime there is a break in play (throw-ins, etc) and keep it there until the next time.

Or just do what ESPN do with the NFL and rotate between the scorebar and the logo appearing on screen.

Sure pirates will find ways around it but for a few seconds to a few minutes the source will be on screen.

BeIN Sports extend rights deal for EFL until 2021/22 and SPFL until 2020 in MENA, Australia and New Zealand.

They are also taking Saudi Arabia to court regarding BeOutQ and have produced a nice infographic about the whole thing including how and what you can watch on BeOUTQ Rolling Eyes

Eurosport to have ATP tour exclusivity in France in 2019.

I would guess that the list of 13 ATP 250 events is the same that Amazon Prime have in the UK (Amazon did say 12 but Eastbourne they already had this year as that's sold separately domestically).

I'm surprised they've not included the Hopman Cup, ATP Sydney and ATP Brisbane in this list as I understand Tennis Australia bundle them in with the Australian Open rights.

BeIN Sports seem to be quite pleased with this article in the Guardian about BBC and Sky supporting their complaint against Saudi piracy of BeINs and other channels content. Its been on their English and Arabic channels over the last few days on screen and in a ticker across the bottom.

Even Richard Keys mentioned Sky by name, which doesn't happen often!

Here is how the South American rights to the CONMEBOL competitions will look like for 2019-22:

CONMEBOL Libertadores:
Spanish-speaking countries: Fox Sports has the exclusive pay-TV rights, Facebook Watch has exclusive rights to the Thursday matches as well as the FTA package, with non-exclusive rights to one Wednesday game per week and the final.
Brazil: Fox Sports has the first- and third-pick Tuesday and Wednesday matches and the live broadcast of the final; SporTV has the second- and fourth-pick Tuesday and Wednesday games, as well as tape-delay-only broadcasts of the final; Facebook Watch has exclusive rights to the Thursday matches; Globo has the FTA package, with non-exclusive rights to one Wednesday game per week (they used to have the choice of three games, airing in different parts of the country) and the live final.

CONMEBOL Sudamericana:
Spanish-speaking countries: DirecTV Sports has the exclusive rights.
Brazil: DAZN has the exclusive rights.
(Previously, Fox Sports had the rights to the Sudamericana across the continent - in Brazil, Fox licensed some games to Globo and SporTV)

Imagine if a UK channel did what Bein have done tonight during the Arsenal v Chelsea game.

Probably just to piss off the BeOutQ viewers. I can't see the Premier League being too happy though - you'd think that would be a breach of their rights agreement.

It was also on another two of their sports channels so I'm sure anyone wanting to watch the match full screen could have found it.
