I personally don't see the problem with it. It serves it's purpose. Did they show the full film at some point on the channel so viewers get the point of the idents?

Yes, Wednesday before Friends at 4pm

Noticed now that the third ident has started going out, they seem to have completely cut out the grinning shadow of the cat which could be seen on the break bumpers, and in the full movie. I wonder if someone decided having that playing out at all hours of the day might have been a bit too scary for some younger viewers!

Part 4 has come out. Does that mean the next time it will be the final?

Part 5 is out already too (a new one has been appearing every 3 or 4 days so this one is one of the quicker appearing ones), which means they've now used up all of the film we've seen. As it's still only December 15th and they've still got 6 days until their special Help The Animals evening or 10 days until Christmas itself, it'll be interesting to see if they've got anything else up their sleeves for this last leg. Or maybe they'll completely forget and suddenly drop back to the regular idents on December 24th again!

Or there will start using all the idents? Thus making a full story every 5th junction?

10 days later

Well they appear to have continued with just the fifth ident since the 15th now.

For those wondering too, it also seems they have successfully managed to queue up the festive idents for longer this year after they somewhat prematurely disappeared on the 24th last year.

BIB- which is, of course, the main problem with having an Advent calendar-themed ident, given the fact that Advent ends on Christmas Eve. A nice idea and well-executed, but not so good for an ident which is supposed to last up to New Year.
