ITV pretty much following the template of previous years.
Soaps, a single new 2hr drama on Christmas Day (Torvill & Dean), a big film premiere (Star Wars : The Force Awakens), series of films between Christmas & New Year (Daniel Craig Bond's this year after exhausting Harry Potter) and a few usually low ranking entertainment specials.
Millionaire starting on New Years Day for 6 consecutive nights.

Glad they'd got the Potter films out of the way. Having a film series between Christmas and New Year isn't such a bad idea - it was just a problem it was always Harry Potter.
Might not have been a bad idea to get a few more eps of Millionaire in the can to run nightly between Christmas and New Year too - think it would have done quite well.
P.S. Madness confirmed for New Year's Eve on the BBC (and The Last Leg is airing on C4). Les Miserable begins Sunday 30th December, then presumably continues weekly. Luther debuts New Years Day and does continue on the 2nd/3rd/4th.
Torvill and Dean now confirmed for Christmas Day at 9.15pm.

You have, and this post is another example of it!
I've posted alot of crap here over the years people don't agree with but here goes...
Elf isn't actually that great a Christmas movie.

At least Torvill and Dean drama is something different.
At the moment ITV seem to be playing trailers for dramas in 2019, The Voice, Dancing on Ice etc. We want to know about Christmas shows now, not what is happening in early 2019! Christmas is still a few weeks away, nobody is thinking of what shows they are going to watch in the new year yet.
The reason Neighbours is now airing all year around is because Channel 5 pay quite a lot towards the production of the show? This probabaly makes it just as important to Channel 5 if not more so than a British soap would be. I think in Australia it doesn't even air on one of the main channels anymore? and would have been axed years ago if it wasn't for the UK.

Nice find Tom and a nice line up over the coming weeks. I don’t think we’ve seen a Christmas trailer yet on ITV. There has been an ITV3 one knocking around along with an ITV2 Christmas Movies (that does contain Elf).

Torville & Dean could be a good shout for highest rated show on Christmas Day I reckon.

An outside bet but I'd have thought 6m would be optimistic whilst something on the BBC should get around 8-9m. Michael McIntyre a good bet IMO - I'm not his biggest fan but glad to see something like that in primetime.

There are still a lot of TBA on ITV's Christmas Day schedule. Currently Paul O' Grady is at 5.55pm, wouldn't surprise me if Emmerdale swapped and went about 6pm with Paul around 7pm and then Corrie 8pm (or 8.15pm if the Torvill and Dean drama is 9.15pm). They usually give Emmerdale a far earlier slot than usual on Christmas Day.

This is ITV on Christmas Day :
4.10pm Film: Monsters Inc
5.55pm Paul O'Grady For the Love of Dogs
6.55pm ITV News
7.15pm Emmerdale
8.15pm Coronation Street
9.15pm Torvill & Dean
11.15pm ITV News
Unusually there is a Corrie & Eastenders schedule clash on New Years Day. Both are in the 8pm slot for 1hr.
