To be fair, the music sounds John Lewis-esq and the Wonderland text 'snows' onto the screen. It certain feels more festive than the still shot lets on.

Well, a 21st Century Christmas is more commercialism than festivities isn't it? Besides, if it's TOO festive it would get utterly boring come Christmas itself. I think the key has to be whether the audience can relate to what they're seeing. A Christmas tree, a Christmas fair, a Christmas Day walk along the beach if you're lucky enough to live by the sea. I'm sure all these things reflect quite accurately a modern Christmas.
