Tuesday night is election night. The experts say Trump will lose the House but keep the Senate, maybe even gain a couple of seats there.

BBC will have an election special , but I can't find much out other than the programme guide:
"Live coverage of the results of the US mid-term elections with Katty Kaye and Christian Fraser in Washington DC."

CNN is going all out as usual and special coverage actually starts Sunday night

Not much to say really. Do think though just like the Tories in 2015 despite the mess he's made in just 2 years he'll probably come out of this in a stronger position.

One would assume rehearsals will be underway this weekend, if NBC are using 1A for election coverage.

BBC World's coverage starts at 23:00 GMT:
Live coverage of the US mid-term elections with Laura Trevelyan in Washington DC and Babita Sharma in London.

BBC News channel joins for a simulcast from midnight. BBC One joins it at 0:40.
Live coverage of the results of the US mid-term elections with Katty Kaye and Christian Fraser in Washington DC.
(they have misspelt Katty's surname on the NC description but it's correct on World)

At 6:00, NC and World part ways, as the news channel simulcasts Breakfast as usual.

World, NC and BBC Two join together at 9:00 for a BBC News Special which continues until 13:00 on World, while NC and 2 have Victoria Derbyshire at 10:00 and Newsroom Live at 11:00 before rejoining the special at 12:00:
The latest on the US mid-term elections with Stephen Sackur live from Capitol Hill, Washington DC.

It's normal programmes from 13:00 on BBC News and no more simulcasting with network after the News at One, but Impact and Global on World are both billed as election specials with Stephen Sackur.

CNN have extra Sunday night editions of Anderson Cooper 360, Cuomo Prime Time and CNN Tonight which CNNI are simulcasting. CNN International are taking more US programmes on Monday night than normal including The Situation Room and OutFront, then on Tuesday they are taking Early Start at 9:00, all of New Day through to 14:00, then CNN Newsroom, At This Hour, Inside Politics, Wolf and more CNN Newsroom instead of the usual programmes we get on CNNI.
From 22:00: Wolf Bltizer, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper, Dana Bash, John King
From 6:00: Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, Dana Bash, John King
From 10:00 it's a simulcast of New Day until 12:00 when it's back to the normal CNNI schedule.

According to listings on Digiguide there are specials on Tuesday night on France 24 23:00-4:00, Bloomberg 0:00-5:00 and CNBC 0:00-10:00. Nothing special listed for Sky News.

Here's a report of how ORF in Austria has covered U.S. elections (albeit for the most part not midterms) since the 1960s -- with lots of interesting footage:

Sky have advertised that they will be doing coverage from 11pm. Adam Boulton said that he will be out there covering the elections. The EPG hasn't updated yet for Sky but they don't seem to update it until a few days before anyway.

The loss of Jeremy Thompson will definitely be noticeable. He was always brilliant when it came to a U.S. election and Boulton gets on my nerves at the best of times.

Mark Austin would have been the obvious alternative choice.

ABC News built a special set for the Midterm Election. Firstly most networks no longer build special election sets. ABC News seems to be the only one that still does that. NBC CBS and CNN dont do it any more. They used to be huge and impressive. Secondly, I cant remember any netowrk building anyhting for a Midterm Election. So that is whats making this ABC News Election set quite impressive. It sorta reminds me of the previous BBC NEWS election set. Its has various video ribbons and the back wall seems to be a huge duratrans of the NYC skyline.
The last election set ABC News built was impressive but was used only for the presidential election. This one seem to be its biggest yet.

By comparison this is the what they did for the last 2014 midterms. They simply dressed up the GMA studio. Nothing major. SO that is why this Midterm Election set very unusual.

As for ABC they benefit majorly for having a full height studio* available. The ones at CBS and NBC are booked with hard sets or are rented out during the week and on Sundays.

NBC is again doing democracy plaza with VR Technology and appeared today they were rigging LED screens as well. Now in past elections ITV have been at the plaza reporting, with them owning Sky will they be there as well?

* Edit : By full height I mean one thats designed for audience use. NBC has studio 3B available but it’s not that tall and couldn’t pull off a grand set like ABC with two floors.
