International News Presentation: Past and Present

An interesting tidbit: just as CNBC Europe merged with EBN in 1998, its American flagship merged with FNN (Financial News Network) in 1991.

For a while in 1991, the merged channel identified itself as CNBC-FNN, at least in promos:

Looks like CNBC got their now legendary ticker from FNN.

Actually I think Media Report got a prime time slot at 2130 on a weeknight.
