Maybe, or even try the EIHL.

Sky seem to have loaded NBA content onto Arena following their rights acquisition. As for BT's loss there's still heaps of NCAA filler from ESPN and others available for overnights, albeit lacrosse etc.

Worth noting that the NBA was promoted at the end of the England/Spain match on Sky tonight.

Just a footnote to the collapse of sports rights group MP & Silva earlier this summer: the French Tennis Federation has issued a winding-up petition against them in the UK High Court for the ~£5m they're owed. It's been stayed for a week, so watch this space.

And they have indeed been wound up .

Eleven Sports are trying to persuade UEFA to let them show football over the blackout period on Saturdays - but have apparently already snuck out a couple of La Liga games:

And now they're going to stop, presumably because they'd lose their rights otherwise.

Seemingly, Channel 4’s commentator for Ireland’s Autumn internationals will be none other than Ryle Nugent - the voice of rugby in Ireland for most of the past two decades and also former Head of Sport at RTÉ.

Apparently he’ll also be doing the Munster v Gloucester Heineken Cup game on Saturday, though I thought Miles Harrison was down to do that.

A fairly detailed analysis of the impact of the EFL's streaming via Sky red button and iFollow, their pay per view platform. Interestingly the PPV offers more complete coverage than the single camera feeds on Sky red button, with 4 camera angles and replays - though at £10 a game that is what you'd expect. They have also experimented with streaming games at 3pm on Saturdays during international breaks when the blackout rules don't apply.

Tony Dogins is over with Ben Edwards for F1 US Grand Prix FP1 coverage on More4. He used to be with Ben on the BBC's coverage.

Great news. Will this mean that Nugent will be doing freelance work while doing rugby commentary with other broadcasters in the UK as well as Channel 4 including The Six Nations & Rugby World Cup in Japan? Also what happened with Miles Harrison not doing the game at Thomond Park this weekend?

Possibly. Who can say? Nugent has called virtually every Ireland game since the 2003 Rugby World Cup, so it’s great to see that he’ll still be doing his commentary, albeit on another station. RTE has lost virtually all its live senior men’s rugby union now, bar the Autumn Internationals, so its probably not a surprise that he’s looked elsewhere for on-air opportunities. (It still has the U20 and Women’s Six Nations, of course). Only Brent Pope left of the classic RTE rugby line up now.

And it’s quite odd that today’s game in Thomond Park, after years of there being no Irish lead commentators on the prime European tournament, will be worked by not one but two Irish crews, with Nugent paired with Jamie Heaslip on Channel 4, and Virgin Media with Dave McIntyre and Alan Quinlan.

The Times reports that Tim Henman is looking for more commentary work outside Wimbledon and that he may join the Amazon Prime team for their ATP coverage next year.

Miles Harrison is doing the Munster match, despite what was reported.

Also, it appears Channel 4 is doing a completely seperate production of the match, whereas VM and BT are taking the same feed.
