Hopelessly off-topic here, but LBC London News uses jingles which are just a list of random places in the capital, and they sound like a bad local radio parody. I had to laugh when they threw in "Buckingham Palace", as though HMQ was tuning in.

Really not a fan of the new programme style - not necessarily the graphics, but the content. Yesterday’s top story was a random nobody calling for the drink driving penalties to be lowered - clearly taking a leaf out of GMB’s book by trying to bait viewer responses with a ridiculously controversial idea. Today manages to beat that though, with the headline being about a fight that happened in McDonald’s, with Peter of course asking the viewers repeatedly if “we’d get involved if we saw a fight in public”. Another story nicked from a popular Facebook video too.
It may be the middle of summer but there’s no need for these pointless stories and cringeworthy attempts to get viewer responses. Calendar, by contrast, seem to have no problem filling the programme - bar the odd syndicated report that appears now and then.
It’s actually quite a shame as the programme had improved significantly over the last few years, but it seems to be shifting back to its old habits now. It almost seems like a local radio programme nowadays with Peter’s constant timechecks and him starting the programme with his chummy comments and remarks. I wonder how long it will take before the celebrity interviews start to reappear again?

It proves that there is no news to sustain this "fake" region 7 days a week.
If only the BBC saw sense, closed down the Belmont waste of money, returned it to Leeds and we had a 5 minute opt in the main show.
Look North Belmont = Hull Today = no news.

Peter has effectively turned the show into a televised radio programme. It's The Peter Levy Show but on Telly.
Viewer opinions are always a waste of airtime. Always either the blandest view, the most obvious knee jerk view, or a view that misunderstands whatever it is they are commenting on, and as it’s TV, there always has to be a balance of the blandest views on both sides.
That also goes for when they stop people in the street and ask for an opinion

At the start of last night's programme did Peter actually say Look North for East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire live from Leeds?!
RA
Yes, he did.

This, but for literally everything, not just TV opinions.

What's the story behind that apparent illegal fly-posting?
