They could do with getting a new character running the hair salon or the corner shop. Both of those seem pretty stale.

I hate the way all the young cast go to Audrey's to get their hair done, that needs a refurbishment like Roy's I mean if I had the choice of Roy's and a Cost up the road see you later Roy, same with Dev I would be going the Co-Op before his place Laughing

I do love Sally and Tim though, I use to think she was rubbish and when they put her with Tim I think they are one of the best couples in the show.

I really don't get how Dev is still in it. Awful character played by an awful actor and not really had a storyline since Mad Maya which must be well over a decade ago.
ToasterMan, Stuart and Spencer gave kudos

He's been the longest owner of the corner shop by some distance as well. He's run it for about 5 years longer than even Alf did.

Why do they leave with either no belongings, or if they have any, they can fit them into a suitcase? That's not just Corrie, that's every soap.

In Eva's case it's justified as she intends to leave the country. You don't tend to take furniture when you emigrate.

Ken Barlow did a long series of environmental columns in the Weatherfield Recorder in the 80's. They obviously had a long term impact on the residents of the street as consumer Items aren't that important to them Very Happy

Not really, the salon in my village is just like that, the younger people just don’t have the older Audrey style stylist, they’d use the Maria ones.

Personally I find scenes with Audrey and all the exasperation at whatever she has to deal with with David or Gail, mixed in with comments about unseen clients some of the best and funniest scenes they do, a type of scene people keep saying they want more of.

Also I expect Roy is cheaper than Costa and food wise you can’t get anything more than a warmed up roll at Costa.

Can CS stop using that hackneyed cliché of leaving characters going off in the back of a taxi, Eva being the latest. It's absurd how often it happens and just so lazy. Come to think of it, why do so few seem to drive themselves off into the sunset?
