They’re losing one of their highest rating, big grossing entertainment shows. They’ll have to find something new to help plug the gaping hole in their income the lack of SNT presents.
Surely ITV have enough for Saturday night for Winter/Spring 2019 with The Voice, Ninja Warrior UK, Take Me Out and then BGT. This year Ninja Warrior started very late compared to previous series as there wasn't a slot for it.

What I would do is put Ninja Warrior into the slot that Take Me Out took this year (January-March) running alongside The Voice. Then put Take me out into the Slot SNT took from about March-April again alongside The Voice. Then when BGT starts they can find something else to put before that.

Blockbusters was revived in 2012 - 5 years after it being on Gameshow Marathon. I'm not sure I'd make the connection myself.
I just listed what was mentioned on the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameshow_Marathon_(UK_game_show)
All that says is that the shows were revived afterwards, not as a result of Gameshow Marathon.
ah, good idea. Bullseye, The Price is Right, Family Fortunes, Mr and Mrs and Blockbusters all ended up getting revived as a result of that (FF was not included in the second series as a result). It could serve as a tryout for certain formats.

Wasn't the Price is Right one a tad controversial? They showed the Yorkshire Television front cap when it should've been Central as it was a nod to Leslie Crowther's era.
The best part of Gameshow Marathon
was the original title sequences being shown, and the regional company frontcap
getting a huge cheer from the studio audience.
And obviously Greg Scott to host any new series

It was for Family Fortunes and Bullseye, not Blockbusters.
I would have guessed the reason they chose the Yorkshire Television ident is because it ran for 2 more years than the Central version.
Although Central's ident was still used twice during series one (for Family Fortunes and Blockbusters), more than any other ident, which is probably why they went with Yorkshire for The Price Is Right.
