Ant and Dec must have the best relationship with ITV to let them do this. ITV pay millions to these two men, and in return get back very little.
Under their current deal, this is what they give ITV for the millions they get:
1) - Six weeks of Saturday Night Takeaway
2) - Six weeks of Britain's Got Talent
3) - Four weeks of I'm A Celebrity ...
That is it. ITV bosses must be the best to have. If this was America, NBC, ABC, CBS etc would never allow it, and they would be paid out of the contract.

Apart from the advertising revenue and sponsorship deals from all the shows they've fronted.
Especially I'm a Celebrity airing in the run-up to Christmas which is the most valuable time for advertisers. ITV will make tens of millions from the shows they front.

Is this really a big deal, it's not as if SNT has been a regular feature on a Saturday night. It runs in series of 6 once a year and wasn't on TV at all for years

They are ITV's three highest rating shows and there are more episodes of I'm a Celeb in those 4 weeks than most entertainment series have over 2-3 years.
They are also just about the only presenters on ITV who have more than one primetime series per year on ITV.
Yes, as all high profile stars are compared to the common man they are ridiculously overpaid but to ITV they are worth every penny and long term absolutely worth ITV supporting them through a difficult patch rather than turning their backs on them and losing their biggest assets for good.

What a daft post
Takeaway is 7 weeks
BGT isn’t 3 weeks
I’m a Celeb is 3 weeks but is about 22 episodes
I’ve never heard anyone complain about Ant and Dec not being on enough, many people often say they present everything.
Most other stars do their one series and nothing else.

Didn't ITV's share price drop the week Ant had his car crash, if further evidence is needed as to how important they are to ITV's fortunes.

Look at my post - BGT I said was six weeks, try reading before you go off on one.
I am just stating, that they have a very good deal with ITV, and compared to other broadcasters, these two would be released from their contracts if this was happening elsewhere. Six weeks of SNT brings in a lot of revenue for ITV, revenue which they will not get in 2019, so I was wondering will this mean some financial changes for the pair in 2019?
Take a look at what they do, and compare it to other stars, they do very little for the millions they are paid. Now, am not saying anything is wrong with that, that the deal they got and good for them, but this break must be a knock for ITV, who might have wished Declan would have carried on alone with SNT next year.
