Anyone know which broadcaster the "1" logo in this photo belongs to? It's a nice, very international mix of mic flags.

After reverse searching in Google, found a photo from a different angle with 'Verizon' on the other side. http://www.fios1news.com/index.html

The 1 logo is for Verizon's FiOS1 channel.

France 3's regional news for Paris / Ile-de-France, 2015 --as you can see, the opening sequence for this region was slightly different from the others, since it featured an outline of Ile-de-France:

As a general rule of thumb if you see a number 1 mic flag or something referred to as channel 1 it’s usually the cable company’s local news channel.

Also since you bring up mic flags I’ve noticed some stations start ditching the mic flag cube and going for a silk screened microphone windshield.

A bit of fun tonight...

Take a look at this 1982 news promo from WBZ in Boston:

And now compare it with this promo for this week's reunion of WBZ's news anchors from that era:

It occurred a few weeks ago for a May sweeps piece. It wasn’t them delivering a full newscast but rather maybe 10 minute segment at the end of the 5PM.

I’m having trouble editing. But it turns out the reunion was just a five minute package.

There's some serious chemistry and nostalgia going on there. Wonderful.
