Not surprising but the BBC Sport multistream IPTV playout system has been used for the BBC Biggest Weekend distribution, just seen an couple of errant Sport captions, on live playback of the streams.

RTE’s clean feed of the France v Republic of Ireland friendly failed for a few minutes a while back, and it seemed to fall back to a dirty feed - complete with the UEFA European Qualifiers scorebar.

Edit: and the feed lost completely for about a minute, thunderstorm fault apparently.

Its also being used for the next three weeks for the ‘Springwatch’ wildlife cameras. They should have their own captions (breakdown or otherwise).

The satellite feeds on 12.5W and 7E both went down during the game. 12.5W seemed more robust but I think that was for TF1 while 7E was the international feed.

Amazon take Laver Cup Tennis rights ....

E-commerce and media company Amazon is close to agreeing a rights deal for the Laver Cup tennis tournament, according to the Australian Financial Review newspaper.

The AFR, citing sources familiar with the matter, said that Amazon is set to sign a two-year deal for the event, which debuted last year. Amazon would hold global rights to the tournament.

The inaugural Laver Cup was held in the Czech capital of Prague last September, with Team Europe, featuring Swiss star Roger Federer and Spain’s Rafael Nadal, claiming a 15-9 victory over a Team World side. Chicago’s United Center will host the 2018 event from September 21-23.

France 2 are doing the same as the BBC at Wimbledon when a French player is on court at Roland Garros, bumping scheduled programming.

Sky Sports Cricket showing filler material, after todays One Day Cup match was declared a washout, without a ball being bowled. Been a couple of victories for the weather, as yesterdays match was decided by One Day Cricket's good friend, the Duckworth Lewis Stern method.

Also of note, S4C showing liver coverage of an U20 Rugby World Championship match between Australia and wales. Not sure what, if anything, ITV are going to show of the tournament.
