CNN Talk is hardly Sky News' 'The Pledge', the themed topical debate works better and has plenty of social media input, which is something clearly CNN wants.
Worth noting that for the next two weeks, it's at 1100 GMT due to the U.S. changing their clocks to DST.

That is true but it is at the end of the day still a US breakfast show being simulcast (even though as you say any international show would probably be quite Trump-based anyway). The 90 minutes of repeats and canned programs before New Day though is slightly less excusable.
That said my bugbear is the gruesome twosome that is Wolf and State of America in the evenings. Both shows are a chore, hosted by over-the-top presenters and seem to cover exactly the same ground - can't help feeling the evening schedule would work better if one of those two was converted into an edition of Newsroom or IDesk especially as Robyn Curnow is already there doing the headlines.
Indeed for all the US simulcasts CNNI has, The Lead which sounds like one of the better CNN US shows rarely airs on CNNI.
Well they do air an hour of New Day at 12.00 which is of course packed with silly Trump news but that's the case with pretty much any regular CNNI bulletin.

Live clip as in passing by or recorded? The US (Canada and possibly Mexico) moved our clocks forward this weekend. So everything’s out of whack.
Just seen a clip of The Lead which had the wrong time on a DTL from London, it was an hour ahead of actual time.

Now that CNN Talk is daily, the show also has a new desk. I wasn't able to watch any other London shows today to see if they're also using this desk.
I do like CNN Talk. Max seems to be more at ease doing it than newsreading or business. My only complaint is that it shouldn't have replaced a newscast.

Some changes coming up on CNN U,S,
After a few trial runs over recent months, Chris Cuomo now moves permenantly to primetime to host erm.. Chris Cuomo Primetime.
With Cuomo's move to primetime, John Berman will now present New Day alongside Alisyn Camerota.
Good moves I think - Berman was long overdue a high profile shift (and has covered New Day enough over the years) and he and Camerota seem 2 of the better domestic anchors. To be honest I never felt Cuomo was a comfortable 'breakfast' presenter and a solo primetime 'one-on-one interview' show seems the sort of thing where he'll shine.
Berman's old double-headed Newsroom shift will now just be presented by Poppy Harlow.

Bianca Nobilo (who I can't say I'd seen presenting much before) will be filling in for Amara Walker on CNN Today for the next few months alongside Michael Holmes.
Surprised they didn't use one of the existing Atlanta anchors - Natalie Allen, Rosemary Church, Lynda Kinkade, Robyn Kriel or Paula Newton all would have been great choices.
Though of course we don't know the where and why of how they decided who'd fill in for Amara (and whether any of the above would even want a particular slot) so it would be wrong to speculate.
