Are there any news programmes in the US that cater for those who *don’t* have ADHD and would rather watch something without ridiculous graphics and hideous transitions between different clips?

There is quite a few actually. But if you only see a small selection you would think that. Then again you could say the same thing about Australian or Canadian or frenetic Indian news programmes. Hmmm....

John Dickerson is the new co-host of CBS This Morning. He will transition off Face the Nation.

US networks having a lot of fun tonight reporting the latest Trump comments, having to decide whether or not to repeat the word "****" on air (CNN and MSNBC have it on their astons but the anchors are being more cautious).

Anderson Cooper on CNN is saying it quite freely. Wolf Blitzer did not say it. It seems as though the presenters and anchors are choosing to say or not say it. Seeing its cable tv, they can use the it cautiously. I wonder if the use of (sh*t) in any other countries airing CNN International will have problems with its use on screen and verbally. Many of the commentators are letting fly left and right. NBC Nightly News on network television, the reporter directly quoted the words and they showed the Washington Post article with the actual headline uncensored, but had it censored on its lower third. But the lower third on both CNN and MSNBC haven spelled it out. ABC News had (Expletive) while CBS had sh*thole. FNC of course is doing something else.

Interesting online. CBC News Canada has it spelled out. ABC News Australia has it censored in the headlined, but spelled out in the article. The BBC has chosen to spell it out (not it its headline) and SkyNews and FoxNews has it censored on its websites throughout. (whats posted when I looked). Nothing posted on SABC and ENCA News from South Africa.

Had CNN on in the background while doing other things (I'm currently in New York) and Don Lemon was using it freely too.

Won't have been a problem for CNNi in Europe (which shows some of the domestic primetime) where of course it is the middle of the night also.

Well, CBS has a fantastic digital news service, CBSN, which is rolling news on a "newswheel" format and three signature shows: "The Takeout" (a video version of the CBS News political podcast of the same name and hosted by correspondent Major Garrett), "Red & Blue" a political show hosted by correspondent Elaine Quijano and "CBSN On Assignment" where CBS / CBSN correspondents travel and present their stories in a minimalistic approach. And the best part of watching it is no cable or satellite required.

Yes actually! HLN (formerly, Headline News) is straight forward news and focuses on everything but politics. Its the only thing I can watch in the mornings anymore. Robin Meade, Carol Costello, Erica Hill, Michaela Pereira, S.E. Cupp, Ashleigh Banfield, and Lynn Smith all anchor their own shows making them the only national network with ALL female anchors.

PBS NewsHour comes to mind. This is tonight's edition; you can judge for yourself:

Here's another "ADHD" American news programme. Rolling Eyes
This new programme from NY1. The open and theme are brilliant. Without being too sleepy.

Ann Curry has broken her silence on the Matt Lauer sex scandal over the past few days speaking to CBS This Morning, saying that she wasn't surprised by the news and that "verbal sexual harassment was pervasive" at her time at NBC.

She also alludes for the first time on her emotional sacking from Today five years ago which Matt was allegedly responsible for, saying that it "hurt like hell" but she's now let it go.

The new "Live at Ten" is a mix of NY1's former shows "News at Eleven" and "New York Tonight" which aired at 8pm. Also, with "Live at Ten" debuting, it bumped the rebroadcast of the 7pm political show " Inside City Hall " (also re-titled "Road to City Hall" during mayoral campaigns)
