Does anyone know if ITV News is getting a new look or not in the New Year - it's only it's been nearly 5 years since they had the last one?!

Indeed it just doesn't need it. It still looks current and unlike some of the looks in the past hasn't tired at all. It's much better for being a more compact use of the virtual space unlike the 'theatre of news' or the 'car park' era.

Heres what I think should happen next year (if itv rebrand again)
- News studio remains the same (except with new logo and maybe different colors)
- New logos for ITV1, 2, 3, 4 and CITV
- ITV becomes ITV1 again
- New idents that match the channels (not live action, aka oneness)

Why would they change the logo and colours and not the studio?

The current logos look fine. Also, it should be ITV , ITV2, 3, 4 and CITV
Let it go. Whilst it was called ITV1, many still called it ITV. Even I called it ITV, despite the fact that I was born after it was (temporarily) renamed.
Just because the BBC mucked up the idents for BBC One, why whine about ITV when they have pulled it off perfectly well.

I often hit the '4' button for BBC 4 rather than 9. (I watch BBC 4 far more than C4 anyway !)
A friend of mine reordered his Freeview channels a while ago to have BBC 1-4 on LCN 1-4. I must ask him what he's put on LCN 3 now ?!
ITV 1 never worked for me because the channel was actually "on" three. It isn't like BBC One which is actually "on" one. I never liked ITV 1.
