Actually, while BOTH TVBS and CGTN are in native HD, why TVB still downgrade them even though its own news programmes (i.e. News at Seven Thirty) are all in HD?

CCTV13, or China Central Television ( Domestic/Mandarin ) News Channel, updated its graphics by switching its theme color from blue to red for special coverage of CCP 19th National Congress ( Oct. 18, 2017 - Oct. 24, 2017 ). This video is a montage of its midnight news programs ( 0000-0600 BJT/BST ) in Studio C02 of CCTV Headquarters, including Intro/Outro of Midnight News ( 00:00 to 02:28 ) and Live News ( 0200 BJT/BST block, 02:29 to 03:17 ).

Not strictly news but I recently discovered that 'Here Is the News' from ELO's 1981 album Time has, since its year of release, been used as the opening theme for programmes produced by the Dutch public broadcaster VPRO. It appears to be used as part of a logo sting before the programme proper starts.



The sting itself has been cut down to the bare minimum nowadays but still using the same soundtrack.



As if to make this post more TV Forum friendly the music video upload for the song even includes a countdown/ VT clock of sorts.

It has been mentioned before. Specifically it was used as the theme tune for TVM Malta news.

I find the difference between CBC and Radio Canada quite striking sometimes. You can definitely see a French TV influence, I think? It all seems a bit too OTT compared to the CBC News style.
