In those few weeks since she appeared on national shifts with Alina, Lucy has also covered shifts at Spotlight with the Plymouth hub presenting duties on Points West and South Today.

The Plymouth hub, by my reckoning, currently has only David Braine and Dan Downs. Both Bee Tucker and Emily Wood are on maternity and Holly Green has just left. I think I saw a job advert for the south west weather hub that had a closing date of July so I'll watch that space.
Sarah Farmer usually covers Alexis Green on Fridays and holidays. Occasionally it was Sam Fraser but she now presents drivetime on BBC Solent. Alina Jenkins has also covered on occasion. On August Bank holiday the south west was covered by John Hammond on the evening bulletins.
Bearing in mind the post further above that says that the current Met Office contract ends on 30th September, one wonders if there will be any more presenters leaving on that date.

They're off back to magnets, so get ready for a goffy October.
Is the new contract starting at the beginning of October? If so, it will premiere this weekend. Has anyone seen or heard about the new BBC Weather graphics??

I forgot to mention that Michael Fish was on Celebrity Money for Nothing last week. He kept a set of the magnetic symbols in his garage.

Now I'm increasingly convinced it's all just a ruse and the BBC are actually sticking with the Met Office, while publicly saying they're saving money by switching to another provider.
On what planet do you think this makes sense in anyway?

It doesn't. I was joking.
