Now if you're doing that kind of style then the typography will make or break it. Currently, the font doesn't really cut it.
Some simplistic but pleasing examples, notice how the different layers are blended together. I'm trying to get you to see graphically, what looks acceptable but how simple doesn't mean boring.

When's the channel launching? What hours are being broadcast?
I don't have a launch date yet, but I have the software all set, so theoretically I could launch at any time. I just want to get the graphics sorted. Hours of broadcast, well I'll probably do 6-10/11 (PM) to start, and then see about automating the software to expand the broadcast day.

You need a font that has a few weights.
I'm in the middle of slimming it down for a 'Light' version.

I don't have a launch date yet, but I have the software all set, so theoretically I could launch at any time. I just want to get the graphics sorted. Hours of broadcast, well I'll probably do 6-10/11 (PM) to start, and then see about automating the software to expand the broadcast day.

As AxG said, you need a font with more weight. Although Gotham has been done to death for the past 7 years, you need a font of that 'weighty-ness' and variety.
