Exactly and I'm sure there were some 5 episode weeks too. Have always felt though with the soaps they'd benefit from ditching episodes when there is another event is scheduled rather than moving them as they'd all benefit from a slight reduction in the number of episodes.
For a number of years though the BBC have only seemed to care about EastEnders at Christmas and for it's anniversary. The rest of the year it seems to be all filler.
There was a lot of disruption due to FA Cup football plus Comic Relief and the Six Nations earlier this year - plus one week when there was no Friday episode due to a wildlife documentary. I doubt more than one or two weeks in Jan/Feb/Mar had normal scheduling. However I don't recall a notable reduction in episodes - displaced episodes usually turned up somewhere, and sometimes in a one hour block with another episode.
