I'm guessing Charlene would be there to be used as a back-up if the link to Salford failed?
Did Charlene also present ITV News London?
Did you see the slight mistake before the break on the evening news tonight, when they accidently cut to a shot of Charlene White sat in the normal ITV news studio. (Mary hosted the whole programme from Salford)

I wonder whether Mary Nightingale had seen the error, as there was a minor smirk on her face as they went into the break . . .

Probably the first time since the weekday lunchtime bulletin moved permanently to 12:30pm on (I think) Monday 21st January 1991.

Worth noting that Friday's lunchtime news has been moved to 1:00pm because of the horse racing. Probably the first time it's been at 1:00pm since 1991/2...?

Without knowing what's on between 12:30 and 13:00 as I can't imagine they would do just 30 minutes of Loose Women unless This Morning is cut back to end at 12:00 for a full hour of LW but why don't they have the news at 12:30 and then start racing coverage at 13:00 with some decent worthwhile warm up coverage like you used to get in days of AtTheRaces on channel 4 back in the day
Further to my last post within this thread, again the Lunchtime News is back to 1pm next week from Tuesday onwards because of Royal Ascot.
Worth noting Racing coverage is 1:30 to 6pm next week too.
