Sky News reporting that a speaker may have blown at the end of Ariana's gig and everyone panicked over nothing.
A concert speaker blowing would be easily loud enough to cause a disturbance, especially if it occurred when no music was playing.
Witnesses on 5 Live saying there were between 1-3 explosions/shots with some reporting seeing a flash. I don't think that would be as a result of a speaker. However, details are still sketchy, so nothing can be ruled out.

Looking further, while a speaker blowing could have caused a blast of air it is unlikely that some of the damage seen in some of the supposed pictures on social media could be caused by a speaker.
Although if a speaker exploded it would be hardly be surprising if this was either due to or caused a wider electrical issue which could explain a flash of light.
Edit:
I was at the BBL playoff final a couple of weeks ago and a basketball bursting caused a loud bang that could be heard around the O2 arena so its surprising just how loud some things can be. (although with further details emerging I am not hopeful that this is a routine speaker failure).
Trains and Metro links out of Manchester Victoria have now been suspended.
