My face cringed when i saw Hacker the dog will be involved. I'm not sure i'll be able to put up with him saying "cocker" each time he's on screen for 120 minutes.

Presenters and the involvement of Hacker 'still to be confirmed'

Suppose this is the first proper Live Saturday morning show since the end of TMI with Sam and Mark, that started as 2 hour 45 minutes from Leicester Square then moved to BBC Television Centre and reduced to 1 hour 30 minutes for the following 3 years and the last series was on Friday evenings on the CBBC Channel. It will also be the first live Saturday morning show from Salford. People were saying Saturday Morning TV was dead and the BBC has resurrected this and SMTV is returning next year although it may be an evening slot.

I understand why but it'll still be a bit disappointing if it does end up only on the CBBC Channel and not on BBC One or Two as well.

As a 25 year old I'd be worried about putting up with the arguably arrogant faces of the BBC's youth-orientated presenters library. But after watching the anniversary special I found them a lot more tolerable than I thought I would.

I've noticed cbeebies has updated its stings. Still the yellow blobs but there now doing different things. There also have stings telling the kids what day of the week it is.

It does look like the 2002 stuff has been put to bed now.

So they kept the blobs and logo but finally updated their presentation? About time. 15 years must be a record for a kids channel.

I did some looking around. Newer stuff was added in 2012 to work along side the 2002 stings. Promo endbroad were changed in 2010.

Around 2015 more new stuff was added and it seems it was around that point in time the 2002 stuff started to be withdrawn.

Ealry this year more stuff was added.

Didn't know if this warranted it's own thread, but some sad news being reported regarding the star of an old Children's BBC show. http://www.beyondthejoke.co.uk/content/4040/news-entertainer-andy-cunningham-dies

Having watched a fair bit of Cbeebies over the years they do introduce new bits and stop using others every so often. Incremental changes over time.

I suspect a lot of the drive to replace elements of the channel is down to the introduction of HD as well as presenters leaving, the blonde presenter left the other month so I would assume anything with her has been withdrawn

Thankful the Weans like the channel. I remember looking at the channel around 2014/15 and I thought the original set had disappeared, a few weeks later there reappeared. There was a clash of old and new for a while.
