That ATV open sure is something! Dramatic, old-school... and a bit "other-worldly" ! I love everything about it (and that set). As you know, I caught a tiny bit on tape in '89. I remember being completely amazed, and thinking that it was so Americanized and different from the UK's news.

From Malaysia:
TV Alhijrah, Berita Al Hijrah (Malay news), opener, in use since November 2014:
TV Alhijrah, Akhbar Al Hijrah (Arabic news), March 2017 (my own capture):
Akhbar Al Hijrah started in February this year as part of the King of Saudi Arabia's official visit to Malaysia. The titles in the video is a recycle of Berita Al Hijrah's opening title, but the text is in grey instead of gold.
Neither bulletins have headline lower-thirds, unlike most other Malaysian TV newscasts. But they still have a lower-third for names and subtitles. They also have a separate lower-third for locations like NTV7 and Astro Awani (news channel) did. However the designs for the name, subtitles and location lower thirds are different. Only a few TV newscasts in Malaysia have a weather forecast segment.

I still have no idea why TV 4 insist on putting text in their wall such that their presenter always obscures some of it...
It seems that TV4 Nyheterna changed their theme tune four times in its history. The first one (in the video below), with some variations, was the longest. The late 2000s one is based on the first. The third was when TV4 Sweden launched its short-lived news channel and the fourth (and current) is more like TV2 Nyheterne in 2013.

A new look for Danish TV2's regional news in East Jutland:
The titles feel a bit familiar - though lacking the pace of NRK. I rather like the studio.

That circle reminds me mostly of Viva Germany's current branding. They use one part of their logo as a mirror like thing. It's roughly like that.
