Next Saturday on ITV, there are only two national bulletins - at 12:20 and 10:30 - and no regional bulletin (Rugby coverage from 4:00 to 7:30).

It just feels like ITV lunchtime news is back were it should be.

There is no reason why they cannot move the ITV Lunchtime News back to 12:30 on a regular basis and put Loose Women at 1PM. Unless it is because there is no afternoon bulletin and the requirements show it has to be just before 1:30pm.

Remember the days when there were almost hourly morning updates from ITN as well as an afternoon update and there was less going on in the World then; compared to now. The World was still busy but even busier now.

It's more than likely they don't want to run the risk of losing the audience following This Morning.

That was in the days when there wasn't any other way of keeping up with the news between bulletins, except maybe the radio or ceefax. These days people have access to news channels, news websites and update alerts on their phones.

Yep and it wasn't just ITN, the BBC had national and regional bulletins, plus weather on the hour all morning and early afternoon as well. Seems like an overkill these days

I like the 1.30pm bulletin. It's in a better place there.

Just because you like it there? Why else?

Maybe I'm used to it being there. I do remember the Lunchtime News being on at 12.30pm
