Will be interesting to see if those are retained for the 10.30pm editions once it returns to 10pm. I think as a quick fix it works fine - glad they didn't just go for the generic ITV News look, even though I do have a soft spot for the late titles.
Very speedy headlines there. Much better an opening than Sky's attempt half an hour ago.
Hate to disagree, but I found Bradby quite shouty and abrupt there, esp coming out of the light entertainment show. It felt more odd given he then reverted to his relaxed style for the intro to the top story, but couldn't bring himself to say "bast--ds" in reference to John Major's former Cabinet - opting instead for "well, you'll remember won't you?"
Laura Kuenssberg had no such problem over on the other side at 22:00.

(EDIT: The forum won't let me say it in full.)
I suppose it reminded me of the ITV News openings of old. People often complain headline sequences aren't snappy enough; this one certainly was snappy, I'd say.

I hope that the Royal Television Society doesn't get the names wrong in its journalism awards ceremony, which takes place tomorrow, and that Tom will win the Presenter of the Year award. As well as being an ITN veteran, Tom is also a successful novelist and screenwriter and holds a Master of Arts degree in History from Edinburgh University. Therefore, his credentials as a news and current affairs presenter are unassailable.

Yes I too hope Tom wins tonight; for two reasons. One he deserves it as he has done many good things over the years as stated above and Two; maybe this will get ITV to reinstate News At Ten to 10:00PM and get back to normality.

Didn't News At Ten win an RTS award when it was anchored by Mark & Julie?
