I noted that Mr. Blitzer was in the same position in New York today, for both Wolf and The Situation Room:


His pals were all in Washington (and The Pentagon) though, so they joined by videoconference.

CNN has been swapping things in Altanta recently. They temporarily moved HLN programming from its former CNN Studio7 home to its old home. The revamped studio thats used for CNN NewsRoom Weekend and NewDay Weekend. Studio7 was converted into a venue for the DNC Leadership debate. (Probably was the first time Chris Cuomo has ever set foot in CNN Center.) LOL. Im sure it was exciting for the CNN Center floor crew, lighting to actually have some work to do. (Joke).

Back in the day, they'd have had that debate in the atrium of CNN Center - they once had an audience in there every day for Talkback Live.

I was thinking the same thing. I always thought that CNN Centre atrium could have been used for the Debates and Results. The final election night from CNN Center was, I think, the final year Benard Shaw was the lead.

The building is looking a bit dated nowadays though, if we're honest. Even if they weren't making all the proposed property changes that are planned, a big Atlanta refurb probably would've had to be in order.

I've done it, even if he hasn't

I've not been. My reply was to the poster suggesting a debate would look better coming from an atrium that resembles (in my opinion) a shopping centre food court from the 80s, complete with tacky stairway through a globe - rather than a modern, polished TV studio.

Never visiting Sky Central hasn't stopped you commenting almost daily about it though, has it? I think we'll just have to agree that our tastes differ. (though, I suspect you'll just post some sort of "sassy" meme though).

To be fair, it IS a food court.

Jonathan Mann has retired. Another of the long serving "faces" of CNN.......
