For us Domestic viewers, CNN veteran Carol Costello is to make the switch to HLN. Her final CNN show is this Friday.

And this is going to be presented from CNN LA. So yet more hours of programming produced from somewhere else than CNN Center.

Carol Costello leaving CNN for HLN not long after Ashleigh Banfield. Hopefully it will mean in time HLN getting rid of the dreadful Forensic Files reruns that fill so many hours!!

The RUMOURS. With the pending merger of CNN's parent, TimeWarner with AT&T, the rumours have gone back and forth that CNN would be spun off. AT&T has stated they wouldnt do that. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/17/cnn-spinoff-to-win-time-warner-deal-approval-makes-no-sense-att-ceo-says.html?xnl
But the published rumors persist as of yesterday.

Costello's show came from New York. She left CNN Center two years ago.

I know that. Im saying this move is going to increase more programming on HLN produced in LA not Atlanta. CNN LA is the name of the hub in Los Angeles. Wasnt talking about the channel. And wasnt referring to the broadcast she just ended, she was the final presenter to leave CNN Center for NY for CNN Domestic's weekday programming. This move just reduces CNN Center role even more domestically.

Plus this could be seen as a long phasing out of the current CNN New York Studio as they're to move into a new location within 2 years time

I see the World Weather break fillers have been updated to a nice new style on CNN International.

These aren't my captures but good examples from a channel with loads of CNN pres:

Much better than the former look which was in use until a week or so ago:

No longer has Farenheit on either. Which I guess makes sense seeing as nobody outside the US even uses it.

I still would like to see Fahrenheit for U.S. cities. Seeing the forecast for, say, Chicago in Celsius always unsettles me, even though I use both scales.
