Hi..
Lead into this mornings News24 was a wooded scene with a birdcall soundtrack.
No people involved, was a nice scene though.

I shot a screen cap on my phone but it wont connect to pc for some reason.

So now we're up to five idents then with the case of Forest.

As for screencapping on the phone, a much easier method is signing in to Metropol, going to the upload service and copying the upload link to post on this thread. Hope that helps.

Something to slightly relate to the so-called tagline of 'Oneness'...

Remember the Sky refresh of last year? Looking through the press release, something sounds familiar, especially in the case of Sky1...

Quote:
Sky1’s personality is brilliantly brought to life through a hero character who ‘releases oneness’, clearly reflecting the channel’s values in a visual and engaging way

Releasing oneness...and yet that was done much better compared to what happened over at the BBC.

Wait, so the whole oneness thing is ripped off from Sky?

Making a comparison between both actually - Sky's focuses on the '1' that 'releases oneness', while BBC ONE's aiming to display people coming together in what they do and love.

Sky's effort last year is far superior however.

Don't worry. I have the playout captured. Will upload this morning.

It's certainly not a forest (not dense enough), it's just a wooded area with a sparse amount of tall thin trees, one of which is broken and only partly still exists, presumably to add some interest(!).

I stand corrected. Assuming the description of the ident at the top of the post, I thought that was designated as Forest.

It looks like a Forestry Commission managed forest to me, of the type found throughout Scotland.

Maybe they just both have a dictionary and looked up the name of their channels?

So does that now mean all the circles idents like capes and kites, have been dropped from playout options by all regions now? They really don't need them anymore.

It's not brilliant at all but why isn't that forest / wood "ident" used to introduce the news bulletins? I noticed it prefaced The Andrew Marr Show this morning.
