Christmas 2016

Many of these TV companies just dont have the money to spend on good stuff. Its well know there is a few good branding companies but wonga is not here to back it up.

Were been saying this for years even since this forum was created, how branding is just poor, but of course there are many reason as to why that is the case. ( this really should be spilt )

And not just to 2013: the 2009 stings are back as well.

Spotted one of those the other day, but I wasn't sure if E4 had just been sneaking them out every year for the last 7 years and I'd never noticed as they're quite intermittent. Those two creatures have been waiting for that bus a very long time now!

E4 does seem to be having a bit of a timewarp moment in recent times. As well as digging those out from 2009, in the last few months they've had Peter Dickson back doing the voiceover on a load of the channel promos - I don't think he's done work for the channel for about 6 years now. Then there was that ident they dug out earlier in the week from their glorious black and white days... which I'm sure was definitely totally genuine!

If they really wanted to go retro they could show those old idents that used to play out in the downtime, back when E4 didn't start up till the afternoon

Channel 4 aired what appeared to be a Christmas ident before Gogglebox last night. Seemed rather charming and a good effort. No cap unfortunately.

Can u describe it? Snow? Xmas lights? Snowman in the style of the blocks?

It's the 'Craft' ident but with a more Christmassy soundtrack,. like this:
