Surely it just depends on who makes the film, Fox will use Sky News and Warner Bros will use CNN?

I've seen Warner Bros using NY1 and its anchors before.

There was an article about Pat Kiernan being the face of NY1 on TV and Movies.

Worth noting NY1 is a part of Time Warner Cable a completely separate company from Time Warner.

... since 2009, and acquired by Charter Comms. in 2015. I heard the rebranding to drop Time Warner name is in process.

It was rebranded "Spectrum" in the last month. Or at least it was on my bill.

And apparently NY1 is updating as well from Time Warner Cable News NY1.

CNN Domestic showed off a new set today from their Washington Studio as Newsroom with Brianna Keilar aired it's second bulletin. Brianna has taken the noon slot once previously occupied by Ashley Banfield.

New set? This is just the other side of the main DC set — the same one used for The Lead:

They made a few adjustments to it right before the election, but it's otherwise the same it's almost always looked. Or did you see something else? CNN promised to update the Capitol set, but I don't think they ever did, and I can't really even remember the last time I saw it on TV.

It's a brand new desk and the set is new regardless of whether it's on the other side of the main set. Newsroom at noon launched this Monday although the first show came from New York.

The set is not new. The set debuted just before the 2012 election. It is one set that can be divided in half down the middle with a glass wall. When The Lead debuted in 2013, they put some metallic panels over the walls of the "B" side of the set and built a special desk for the show. You can see it here:

At some point in the last year or so, they replaced the two LCD panel video arrays with seamless video walls, and ahead of last week's election, they put in a few displays around and some other accent pieces. The "A" side that the Situation Room uses received a similar treatment. The desk is new and debuted during the election coverage as well, but to the occasional CNN Domestic viewer, this new hour of Newsroom isn't really anything new visually.

Is that what this is? (below). Wolf came from it yesterday, and it looks pretty rubbish, to be honest. Find it hard to understand why they broadcast so many shows from cupboards and corners of rooms. Maybe he's been shunted out of the main DC set.

In other news, CNNI's Political Mann finished this weekend. I know it's only meant to cover the campaign but it feels a bit premature given no-one really knows how the transition is going just now. Maybe it's for the best, as it was never that high-brow in terms of analysis. Sorry for the rubbish caps, but the sign-off from Atlanta:

Ah, yes it is! Thanks. I thought they maybe did something to it but I wasn't sure. It was a pretty cool looking set to start with a real window overlooking the Capitol dome, but the rest of it aged pretty poorly, and then that update doesn't look so hot either. No wonder they don't really use it much.

Final thought from me for now. I see that their coffee table book "Unprecedented: The Election That Changed Everything" is being shamelessly promoted at every opportunity. A bit early to publish anything meaningful, but I guess they are going for the bland Christmas present market.

On Amazon UK, the URL suggests it was going to be called "Madame President"....!

I think this is the set Fredricka Whitfield came from last Saturday. This shot was not used. Looked incredibly small, almost like a broom cupboard.
