The WNA opening looked good. Liked the map of the US made out of the hexagons that have been featured in their branding.
Also, someone needs to give Katty Kay a small handicam or tell her to move her phone to landscape mode when recording an interview. I believe this is the second or third time Katty has done a quick interview with a guest that has just appeared on Morning Joe.
The CBS Evening News is coming from the CBS This Morning studio tonight, Studio 57. It really looks great — lots of video walls and monitors, plenty of workspaces, and it looks like they put a bigger glass top over the table, presumably so they'll be able to seat more people around it tomorrow night.
I wonder if this is a dry run to see how the Evening News looks in there since the original plan for the studio was to move it in there permanently. Probably not, but I always preferred Studio 57 to Studio 47.
EDIT: On an unrelated note, Brian Stelter's newsletter says CNN will lift its cable paywall on its webstream from 4pm Tuesday until 4am Wednesday. Hopefully that works overseas as well.
Every CBS presidential election since 1996 has come from studio 47, so this will be quite a break with tradition.
Elsewhere, Good Morning Britain win the prize for the most tenuous claim to a Times Square studio this morning. A darkened room with a slither of Times Square visible between two buildings in the distant background.

For those interested, there's an interesting behind-the-scenes Studio 57 video of 30mins of CBS This Morning on their YouTube channel. You see some setting up shots, practising lines and recording an intro for the later West Coast airing.
All three network morning shows were on their election sets this morning, so some observations:
ABC
Outstanding. A similar layout to 2012, with various presentation positions around a circular floor screen.

Pretty much just the regular CBS This Morning set, but maybe some minor modifications to be made before tonight. I'd be surprised if the shelves and memorabilia feature later.

A bit disappointing. It looks like what it is: a temporary set in the corner of a newsroom. Some slightly awkward camera angles of Rockefeller Plaza on the screens too.
I noticed last night that Newsnight were using some bespoke titles:
And also came from what appeared to be an open-backed set somewhere in NYC. The female guest was wrapped up warm, but Emily Maitlis appeared dressed for a studio.
