Was it this iteration of 3C? I miss the window!

Nightly News with the window lasted from the time MSNBC moved in from NJ in 2007 until they needed more space for Rock Center with Brian Williams in 2011. In late 2011/2012 the window was closed off to make seperate studios for WNBC. On the MSNBC side of the window they added a monitor grid.

Correct. Between 2007/2008, WNBC moved from 6B to 7E to make way for Jimmy Fallon, MSNBC moved from Secaucus to 3A, and Nightly News moved to 3C with a window looking into the 3A "newsroom." Then in 2011/2012, Nightly News moved from 3C to a renovated 3B. WNBC was slated to move to 3C, and a set was built in there similar to the one that debuted, only it had a more traditional 6x4 video wall and a different desk. There may have been more differences — I never got to see it. By the time the set was finished, a combination of something going wrong with the floor and NBC not liking the look of the set meant that it was deconstructed, work was done on the studio, and then a new set was built (the one that actually made it to air). That was what I was referring to.

I completely forgot about that. I just remembered the article from TVNewsCheck which downplayed the problems. According to that article the floor tiles were too soft and while they were waiting for it to be redone they really liked the vertical 103" monitors on one section. I just reread the thread over at TVNewsTalk, FTVLive and NewscastStudio and was reminded at how bad the situation was. Apparently the only thing that was the same between the two sets was the one section of 3x1 vertical monitors - everything was gutted.

Just a reminder of how beautiful 3C was when it debuted:

Raven Symone will be leaving The View at the end of this year. She will be staying within the Disney Company as they are reviving / making a sequel her Disney show That's So Raven which ran on the Disney Channel from 2003 - 2007 airing 100 episodes. She will be playing her same character from the previous show but now she's a single mother raising two children - one of which has "visions".

I realize the show may not be considered a news program in a general sense but the show is now a part of ABC's News division.

Has MSNBC now completely abandoned the 4th floor newsroom studio they only recently built? Whenever I'm watching, they're always in 3C with the 4th floor newsroom on the screens, which just seems weird.

I also think they've completely ruined 3A with the massive new video walls. Sure, they're versatile, but they're struggling to fill them with anything that looks good most of the time. Everything either looks too virtual, or a jarring combination of real and fake, which is the case with Morning Joe. Those screens also mean they no longer have the nice view down the newsroom from the opposite end, which Brian William used to use for breaking news coverage.

Morning Joe tweeted a special programme next Wednesday from Studio 8H - Which studio is that?

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet. NBC is looking to purchase a minority share of about 15-30% in EuroNews.

I'm sure both Jeremy Corbyn and Michael Gove would have something to say about the second line on that lower third....
