UTV sell TV business to ITV

Surely the gradient is just there because that logo isn't segmented like the ITV one. I wouldn't have thought they'd go backwards and remove one of the logos main design points

Just speculation on my part. Its unlikely but I'm just throwing it out there as it's been almost four years since the rebrand so who knows.

After nearly 4 years the itv regional news music and titles should certainly do with a refresh now. Maybe UTV Live will be the first than a rollout will follow.

Is it not the case that NI gets an overnight network ITV ident leading into GMB, with the first proper sighting of UTV not being until 09:25?

And the GMB regional news bulletins are "Good Morning Northern Ireland"-branded, of course.

At the most, the GMNI bulletins might be presented from the new set. Even if they are, it'll be a single locked-off tight shot dominated by the GMNI branding on a plasma/LCD screen. Alternatively they may come from the same temporary chromakey setup as used all week, in which case there will be literally nothing new to see until 09:25.

I think it will be 09.25 aswell....

Do you currently (or at least before ITV bought UTV) get ITV branded trailers during GMB. A possibility now they're owned by the same company that any trailers could be branded UTV instead.

We have always had network ITV during GMB / Daybreak and GMTV , it is correct the first appearance of any UTV presentation isn't until 9:25 this is because UTV doesn't own the airtime until then it is owned by ITV Breakfast , would be interesting to see as it is currently now part of the same company if they have it branded as UTV all day though.

That was the case when UTV was being run locally, but if there's a full switch to network running UTV - then I suspect it'll be 05:59.

Will the regional news during GMB have new branding?
