On that note SS4 becomes Sky Sports Ryder Cup from tommorow (not sure when the reversion date is, I presume it's the following Monday).

Ryder Cup world feed on 10e FTA, very nice it's the world feed but has Sky Sports graphics, not seen Sky Sports Ryder Cup channel yet I am assuming it's the same graphics, apparantly there's a BBC feed on 24.5w not tried it, it will be interesting to see how they cover it as their coverage is not live.

EDIT: looks almost the same on sky sports but has more gradients going on I think.

Channel 5 won't have any studio-based presentation for their upcoming Formula E coverage - they'll just take the world feed for 30 minutes either side of the race. This makes sense for the first part of the season, with such a sparse calendar, but apparently the budget just can't cover it anyway.

Talking of which surprised to see Sky only have 5-minutes of build up to the much hyped Super League Million Pound Game today, despite nothing live before it.

Back to the BBC and a shame now that Football Focus has been extended that Saturday Sportsday has been axed. Both financially and in terms of airtime BBC Sport must be more football focused (no pun intended) than ever before.

Though I notice there's now a sports bulletin in the 1pm news - presumably aimed at compensating.

Actually, there's Swansea v Liverpool live, in the Premier League, before it.

Swear it was scheduled for SS3 when I looked earlier (in printed listings). Even so they'd have time for at least 15 minutes of build up and you'd think they'd treat people subscribing for Rugby League with more respect, but heck, when they're spending £9m on Burnley v Watford that's what happens.

It's a particularly congested afternoon for Sky Sports to be fair - although I'll be a bit less fair than I might have been had Sky not decided to put the live golf on both Sky Sports 1 & 4. So there's live rugby league's on Sky Sports 2, GAA on Sky Sports 3, Hull v Chelsea (for Ireland only) on Sky Sports 5 and live rugby union on Sky Sports Mix.

Edit: presumably, the live rugby league was indeed originally scheduled for Sky Sports 3 before the GAA replay happened, because it seems to be filling a Soccer Saturday shaped hole in the SS2 schedule.

I bet Sky schedulers were glad extra time came to a swift conclusion.

Confused Eh? I thought 3pm KOs were banned from airing on TV, and since when did Ireland and the UK get different programmes on Sky?

Sky managed to get what were Setanta's 3pm games earlier in the year. Sky have separate feeds for Ireland for adverts mostly, but this is the first time there's been an Ireland opt out on Sky Sports.

They've done it with Sky News Ireland on Sky News and Sky1 in Ireland in the past.
