hahah what the hell is that Shocked

WSB loves a team coverage graphic. They know its a joke. But they roll is out whenever they have snow (which is rare) in metro Atlanta. Its a bit of fun. But it also shows how many reporters they have in the field at the same time. So whilst its kinda silly its also impressive. LOL.

First, with the WSB graphic it wasn't live. Their editors asked for a recorded stare for about 30-40 seconds to make it look live. Second, many of those boxes were recorded early in the morning as it was still dark out (apparently reporters were still in the field). Third, it does go to show how impressive their news team is even though it was incredibly ridiculous.

They apparently used 13 ENG trucks, 4 LiveU units and the rest were done with iPhones or other mobile devices.

It was a severe storm for the Atlanta region even though people up north may laugh at the coverage and standstill it caused. Apparently it was two inches of snow and ice that caused motorists to be stuck on the highways for up to 30 hours and forcing students to sleep overnight.

I doubt any UK regional show would have enough journalists to fill 6 boxes.

Ah yes!! It was such an exaggerated tune! I cannot believe a French TV channel broadcast this as a countdown, it's pretty violent and peaceless, and it's the kind of thing us French people love to criticize from USA's television… so, it was very strange to see France 24 broadcast something so dramatic. It makes the channel sound like "it's the end of the world coming to you in 3… 2… 1…"

I may like hard rock, but not in news! ^_^

A quintessentially 1980s news promo from WCCO in the Twin Cities:

Even CNN had a cheesy image campaign song in the 1980s:

Since the rebranding of the French Canal+-owned TV channel D8 as C8 in September, the only newscast of the channel "Le J.T." (which already went from two editions per day to a single one) was included in a mid-day magazine and rebranded as "Le Journal".

Before:

And now:

My personal opinion: the previous branding was fine, maybe the on-screen rectangles could have been adapted, but it also included the old map of French regions, which changed very recently. But even if such a change were needed, I dislike the new intro; it gives me the impression there wasn't any research in creating it, not enough time spent on it. The music is completely generic and easily forgettable, and the visuals, although they're clearer, do not have as much personality as the previous ones, in my opinion (but at least, they're less centered on France and more on the whole planet).

Another refresh to Bloomberg TV. The schedule has been overhauled, with new "Bloomberg Daybreak" programs. The sets in the US and the Europe have been updated with new Lightwell backgrounds.

Never let it be said that Bloomberg's presentation is staid. Nothing seems to stay the same for long!
