Simon Calder is appearing this morning talking about the Italy news "via videolink"

Am I right in assuming this is some sort of Skype/VoIP? There's virtually no delay, but the audio and video quality is very good.

Most likely Skype through a Skype TX box.

Just Charlotte and Ranvir this morning. Seemed like a deliberate decision not to have a newsreader, because Juliet Dunlop appeared on the desk to discuss the bomb blast in Brussels for a few minutes, so there was somebody who could have read the news.

I am looking forward to next Monday; not just because of rumoured possible changes and I state rumours; but because it will be good to have Piers and Susannah back and a sense of normal professionalism back.

That's a bit unfair to suggest the others lack professionalism

Agreed, especially as Piers is the most unprofessional presenter out there. He has shaken the program up, and I generally like the program when he is on, but to suggest Piers is professional is ridiculous. Talking over guests, arguing, making the program run late, interrupting news/sport bulletins, and clear bias are not exactly traditional characteristics of a breakfast TV presenter.

Whether that's good or bad, I don't know.

Apologies I wasn't trying to say the others are not professionals. I was just meaning I prefer the usual presenting team but Ranvir, Charlotte, Ben and Kate have been good too.

Perhaps you mean Piers and Susannah have more gravitas, rather than professionalism.

New ITV Daytime trailer just aired during the adverts on this Morning. It featured Piers and Susanna, Lorraine, Holly & Phil and some of the Loose women.

Never thought I'd see Piers and gravitas in the same sentence - well not without the word "lacks" anyway.

This is the GMB specific version: http://www.itv.com/goodmorningbritain/presenters/piers-and-susanna-back-on-monday
Seems to focus on Charlotte and Sean "coming back" despite Charlotte being one of the main presenters throughout the summer. Sean does seem to have been off. Maybe the original 4 setup is returning.

Or maybe it's just a joke like what is explained below the video. Rolling Eyes

We are all entitled to speculate what may happen on September the 5th. UBox made a fair speculation and has a right to post about it.
