Sky Movies Rebrand To Sky Cinema

The Virgin EPG has been updated with the new channel names and logos.

I can't believe I have seen the first spectacular detailed CGI ident in so many years in this country. Wonderful to see.

The new idents remind me of the 2003 and the 2007 branding mixed in.
It works, apparently.

Greats, Select and Comedy don't look particularly good, do they? Because they're centre-aligning the channel names below the Sky Cinema logo they just look out of alignment with the 'Cinema' text.

I'm pretty confident in five years time, most people will still be referencing it as "Sky Movies".

Channel 5 had ratings for a long time... U G C and A.... Universal, General viewing, Caution and Adult.

Those lasted for a long time. Originally with the 1997-2002 logo/idents, the 5 logo would fade out and be replaced by one of those letters as the warning was being made by the CA. After the 2002 rebrand they appeared in addition to the main logo rather than replacing it, as a fully worded warning like so:

In 2004 Five had some specially made idents specifically for movies which still included those warnings.

I don't recall seeing them after that.

^ Those look very nice. Sky has finally managed to balance the size of the Sky logo in a stacked version just nicely.

I see two of the channel names needed truncating though.
